SUSTAINABILITY
SUSTAINABILITY INITIATIVES
Stanley Roads are committed to integrating sustainability throughout all our business practices and to considering sustainable approaches for the delivery of all works by focusing on the following key areas:
- Reduce our impact on the natural environment by focusing on emissions, pollution, waste, land use and resources
- Develop a culture of sustainability within our organisation, our industry and our community
- Ensure high standards in governance by measuring and reporting our sustainability performance against our key sustainability indicators
Sustainable ASPHALT Practices
Road construction can potentially require large levels of energy for its many processes which include the excavation of materials, road maintenance, the production of asphalt, and the transport of materials. Sustainability can be achieved with the focus on reducing and recycling waste, reusing material onsite, and using recycled products.

RESOURCE RECOVERY
Stanley Roads is leading the way in advanced construction and demolition waste recycling technology. The new technology provides Stanley Roads with the ability to crush, screen and wash demolition and construction waste creating recycled aggregates of various sizes for reuse in road construction along with other building and construction uses.
Technology
Stanley Roads are leading the way in Australia with “Next Generation Asphalt Technologies” to improve roads, change industry behaviour and develop next generation pavement recycling practice. Our cutting edge technologies include PQI metres, a NATA accredited laboratory, the latest generation of asphalt plants, and state-of-the-art resource recovery plant.

EQUIPMENT
Stanley Road Construction operates a fleet of state-of-the-art machines for the road construction, pavement recycling and asphalt manufacturing industries which includes pavers, rollers, trucks, cold milling machines, skid steers and other ancillary trucks..
Internal Initiatives
Stanley Roads Environmental Management System is a set of processes and practices that enable us to reduce our environmental impact and increase our operating efficiency while maintaining a focus on reducing our environmental footprint.

This new technology will deliver environmental and production efficiencies and benefits, including energy savings, reduced emissions and production costs that can be passed onto the clients we build roads for.
